Krystal A.
Krystal Augustine
is the founder of Six Seventeen, a motivational speaking platform dedicated to helping people belong,
grow, and become one step and one message at a time. Through heartfelt speaking, event hosting, and community engagement, Krystal creates safe, uplifting spaces where individuals can reimagine their lives and boldly step into who they’re becoming. #Belong.Grow.Become
As a vibrant community activist
based in New Haven, Connecticut, Krystal has served her city in many impactful roles from serving as a Guardian ad Litem for abused and neglected children to being a
mentor, speaker, and advocate throughout the New Haven Public Schools. She is a tireless champion for youth, families, and professionals seeking growth, healing, and transformation.
In 2022, Krystal launched the acclaimed “I Belong: Having a Seat at the Table in the Workplace”
series in collaboration with the Yale Schwarzman Center. These interdisciplinary sessions and mixer events create brave spaces for authentic dialogue around workplace, school, and community experiences reminding attendees that while we may look different on the surface, our shared hopes and humanity unite us.

ince the age of 16, Krystal has mentored and advocated for women, men, and youth always with the belief that anyone can transform. She is passionate about career development, resource-sharing, and helping others thrive from the inside out.
Outside her work, Krystal finds joy in motherhood, proudly raising her two sons, Christopher and Malachi. She’s known for her infectious smile, soulful cookin “seasoned with love,” spontaneous song choruses (yes, she has a lyric for everything!), and the occasional two-step that lights up every room.
Krystal is more than a speaker she’s a movement. Through Six Seventeen, she helps others find the courage to belong, grow, and become.
